George Bernard Shaw

(1856-1950) was a playwright, essayist, political activist, lecturer, novelist, philosopher, revolutionary evolutionist, and the most prolific letter writer in literary history. His plays include Pygmalion, Caesar and Cleopatra, Arms and the Man, Man and Superman, Candida, Heartbreak House, Major Barbara, and Back to Methuselah.

Taking advantage of four days of continuous rain during a holiday in the North of Scotland in 1904, Shaw wrote How He Lied to Her Husband
