Winner of the 2001 Obie Award. A breathtakingly beautiful and touching tale of growing up in South Africa. A story of abiding love between two South African families – one black, one white – is seen through the eyes of a young girl trying to make sense of the chaos and magic of her world. The play follows the families’ destinies through four generations from Apartheid through the present day. 24 characters are portrayed by one actress in a tour-de-force theatrical event.
