British author, Max Telligan, is reported found dead in his rental car outside of Munich. His estranged wife Harriet and his secretary Liz Ferber begin making phone calls to Max's business contacts in Germany; when suddenly in walks Max, very much alive. Max, Harriet and Liz try to unravel this tale of murder, suspense and intrigue.
